Dr. Adnan Majid is a psychiatrist dedicated to providing ketamine therapy evaluations, depression and anxiety treatment, and holistic patient-centered care combining advanced training in psychopharmacology and personalized therapy. Dr. Majid completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University. He then completed medical school and graduate training in the neurosciences through the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of California, San Diego. There he studied the brain pathways involved in controlling actions. Pursuing his love of psychiatry, he completed his residency at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA, where he served as Chief Inpatient Resident of the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital. He has also completed the prestigious Max Gray Fellowship at UCLA, specializing in the treatment of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. Additionally, he received specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), intensive short-term psychodynamic therapy (ISTDP), and psychodynamic therapy techniques.

In addition to providing care at the Mental Health and Ketamine Therapy Center at the Cedars-Sinai East Tower, Dr. Majid also pursues research at UCLA, advancing the understanding of gender dysphoria and transgender identity and providing care for patients with post-traumatic stress disorder. In addition, he is dedicated to treating young adults in underserved communities at risk for developing major psychiatric illnesses such as psychosis and mania and strives to be vigilant of the impact of social disparities based on race, gender, class, and sexual orientation on mental illness. Dr. Majid has been practicing medicine since 2015.
